Quieting the mind.
Position yourself in a comfortable, upright position. [ Take about 5 minutes with this calming exercise ] Close your eyes, feel your breathing, but do not slow it down, Start saying the word 'JESUS', silently in time to your breathing, feel your body grow heavy, limb by limb from your toes to the top of your head.
See our Lord standing before you with His hands reaching out to you His friend, Be in fellowship with your Lord, your Saviour, your friend.
"Peace is what I leave with you; it is my own peace that I give you. I do not give it as the world does. Do not be worried and upset; do not be afraid.John 14:27

Call us to Worship.

But you, God's people, will be happy and sing as you do on the night of a sacred festival. You will be as happy as those who walk to the music of flutes on their way to the Temple of the LORD, the defender of Israel.
[Isa 30:29]

SILENT PRAYER for PEACE.
1st Reading. Psalm 8.1.
[8:1] O LORD,our Lord, your greatness is seen in all the world! Your praise reaches up to the heavens;

[8:2] it is sung by children and babies. You are safe and secure from all your enemies; you stop anyone who opposes you.

[8:3] When I look at the sky, which you have made, at the moon and the stars, which you set in their places---

[8:4] what are human beings, that you think of them; mere mortals, that you care for them?

[8:5] Yet you made them inferior only to yourself; you crowned them with glory and honor.

[8:6] You appointed them rulers over everything you made; you placed them over all creation:

[8:7] sheep and cattle, and the wild animals too;

[8:8] the birds and the fish and the creatures in the seas.

[8:9] O LORD, our Lord, your greatness is seen in all the world!

SILENCE, Listen to God's voice and ponder His word.

SILENT PRAYER for OUR NATION and LEADERS.
2nd Reading. Psalm 27.
The LORD is my light and my salvation; I will fear no one. The LORD protects me from all danger; I will never be afraid.
[2] When evil people attack me and try to kill me, they stumble and fall.
[3] Even if a whole army surrounds me, I will not be afraid; even if enemies attack me, I will still trust God.
[4] I have asked the LORD for one thing; one thing only do I want: to live in the LORD's house all my life, to marvel there at his goodness, and to ask for his guidance.
[5] In times of trouble he will shelter me; he will keep me safe in his Temple and make me secure on a high rock.
[6] So I will triumph over my enemies around me. With shouts of joy I will offer sacrifices in his Temple; I will sing, I will praise the LORD.
[7 ] Hear me, LORD, when I call to you! Be merciful and answer me!
[8] When you said, "Come worship me," I answered, "I will come, LORD."
[9] Don't hide yourself from me! Don't be angry with me; don't turn your servant away. You have been my help; don't leave me, don't abandon me, O God, my saviour.
[10] My father and mother may abandon me, but the LORD will take care of me.
[11] Teach me, LORD, what you want me to do, and lead me along a safe path, because I have many enemies.
[12] Don't abandon me to my enemies, who attack me with lies and threats.
[13] I know that I will live to see the LORD's goodness in this present life.
[14] Trust in the LORD. Have faith, do not despair. Trust in the LORD.
SILENCE, Listen to God's voice and ponder His word. Prayer.

Our Lords voice can be heard in the stillness and the beating of your heart, wait on Him.
3rd Reading. Psalm.50..
Psa 50:1 The Almighty God, the LORD, speaks; he calls to the whole earth from east to west.

[50:2] God shines from Zion, the city perfect in its beauty.

[50:3] Our God is coming, but not in silence; a raging fire is in front of him, a furious storm around him.

[50:4] He calls heaven and earth as witnesses to see him judge his people.

[50:5] He says, "Gather my faithful people to me, those who made a covenant with me by offering a sacrifice."

[50:6] The heavens proclaim that God is righteous, that he himself is judge.

[50:7] "Listen, my people, and I will speak; I will testify against you, Israel. I am God, your God.

[50:8] I do not reprimand you because of your sacrifices and the burnt offerings you always bring me.

[50:9] And yet I do not need bulls from your farms or goats from your flocks;

[50:10] all the animals in the forest are mine and the cattle on thousands of hills.

[50:11] All the wild birds are mine and all living things in the fields.

[50:12] "If I were hungry, I would not ask you for food, for the world and everything in it is mine.

[50:13] Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats?

[50:14] Let the giving of thanks be your sacrifice to God, and give the Almighty all that you promised.

[50:15] Call to me when trouble comes; I will save you, and you will praise me."

[50:16] But God says to the wicked, "Why should you recite my commandments? Why should you talk about my covenant?

[50:17] You refuse to let me correct you; you reject my commands.

[50:18] You become the friend of every thief you see, and you associate with adulterers.

[50:19] "You are always ready to speak evil; you never hesitate to tell lies.

[50:20] You are ready to accuse your own relatives and to find fault with them.

[50:21] You have done all this, and I have said nothing, so you thought that I am like you. But now I reprimand you and make the matter plain to you.

Psa 50:22 "Listen to this, you that ignore me, or I will destroy you, and there will be no one to save you.

[50:23] Giving thanks is the sacrifice that honors me, and I will surely save all who obey me."
