So then, submit yourselves to God. Resist the Devil, and he will run away from you.
Come near to God, and he will come near to you James.... 4:7-8a.
Safeguard Prayer to be Prayed.
In the Name, Power and Authority of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Saviour, in and through His shed blood and in and thru the Power and Authority of the Holy Spirit, I take authority over every and all demons, spirits, forces, powers and principalities of the dark forces of the defeated kingdom of the defeated enemy, satan, and all else that comes from him and not from the one and only true and living God, as I use this tool to bring myself into a closer walk and fellowship with my Lord and God. I bind their powers up within themselves and send them back to the desert places whence they come from, and I loose any hold they would gain on me as I use this Prayer style in my closer walk with my Lord. Amen.
This Prayer Walk is different from the Prayer Walk around a Suburb, Town or City, this Prayer Walk is a personal Prayer Walk just for you.
Take your bible, tape deck or whatever you may need to help you, and go outside into the garden, Lakeside, meadow or Forest and find a quiet place where you can be alone, maybe beside a small brook.
Read Job 12:7-10, Psalm 8, Psalm 19, Acts 17:24, Romans 1:20.
Feel His presence,
Acknowledge His presence,
Thank Him for His gentleness of presence.
Commit this time to God.
Become, 'calm'. Let go of all the thoughts, anxieties and tensions you have brought with you, hand them over to our Lord. Feel how good it is to be here.
To have nothing to do.
Just be in Jesus.
Begin to live in the present moment. You don't have anything at all to do. You can take the time to allow something to happen to you but you have no expectations. If nothing seems to happen, that is alright.
You are not here to think about tomorrow or yesterday, or about any unfinished business. Be fully present In the here and now.
You are here only to spend time with your Lord and friend, good friends do not always need to voice their words aloud, just be in fellowship with each other.
The objects of nature do not throw themselves at us, they simply are there, allowing themselves to be seen. Use what you see in nature to reveal some of the works of our Lord, for the Psalmist said 'O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all, the earth is full of thy riches' [ Psalm 104:24 ].
As you contemplate on the world around you, allow God to speak to you.
Voice your thoughts and prayers to our Lord as you would sitting in the presents of your very best and closest friend.
Our prayers may be awkward. Our attempts may be feeble. But since the power of prayer is in the ONE who hears it and not the one who says it, our prayers do make a difference.
